BUBU DEER!!!!!

Fawns are the embodiment of innocence, sweetness, and love. As babies deer will display such a playfulness and sense of adventure that any adult knows, human or deer, is doomed to gradually get lost in the slow painful process known as growing up.

Popcorn, our favorite lil deer pony, looking excited just to be around

Fawns are particularly interesting because such levels of happiness are near impossible to find in grown deer, with adult worries comes anxiety, terror, existentialism. As little bubu deer however, these little bundles of joy explore the world and make the most with their energy.

*sniff sniff*, whats dis?

Not a single bad thought or worry behind their sweet little eyes, we need to treasure bubu deer as these precious gems that still need to be made rougher and rougher as time goes on, they start to realize how the cards are stacked against deer, they experience their first heartbreaks as they lose fights against bigger deer and have to watch as someone else mates their crush for a good ten seconds, and the cynicism typical of adult bleaters kicks in.

The two most innocent creatures, together in harmony

Fawns are naturally curious and friendly towards just about anything and anyone, their mommas are constantly getting them out of trouble when they try approaching humans and other animals. They also have a little passion for food, when they first try something other than their mom's milk they discover the wonders of cuisine and making them obsessed with cooking anything. While they may not be very good at it they'll still try, with the irrational motivation typical of tiny deer brains.

They may not be smart, but with teammork they can achieve anything

As any deer expert will tell you, they get obsessed with a number of favorite dishes:

Tasting his first borger, his life is changed forever

Another interesting aspect of fawnhood is how they are very fast learners, we poke fun at deer for not looking smart but in reality they understand far more than what it looks like. They may not be able to recite Homer's most famous works or tell you what dadaism is, but they go from a tiny helpless little thing incapable of moving to a youngling who can read their environment and learn just about anything from negative experience.

Deer learn a lot and they learn fast, their lives are incredebly dangerous and there's endless predators, humans and otherwise, who are constantly out to get them. Fawns have few chances of surviving more than a few months, surviving their first winter is especially challenging: they haven't developed their full coat yet and they do not have the survival skills necessary to be indipendant at a time where food will be scarse. Those who make it and start accumulating experience become less and less likely to fall victim of evildoers, even hunters. A wise old deer is able to recognize hunting season periods and the areas hunters will and will not scout, old deer become much harder to hunt because they have been through so much that they can actually outsmart their neckbeard adversaries.

This little guy has great things ahead

While they are happy and spunky, fawns are also extremely sensitive and can become discouraged easily. That is why we only ever encourage and support all the little deer, they need that little push to make the most out of the talent they have, even when they don't realize it yet. They will have more than enough time as adults to be depressed, don't waste your fawnhood over that, leave the existentialism to the grownups and go play with that puddle!

We feel you bubu, we feel you
